Uber can be used in Kuching. Simply download the app. Expect responsible fares. A 15 minute ride from Airport to City Center costs less than RM10. Grab is also a popular transportation app in Kuching. You can pay with cash or through the app. Make sure to download the app before you leave.
The Red/Yellow taxis are budget cabs at lower prices, while the Blue taxis are 'executive' level and are more expensive. Take your time and appraise the honesty of the driver before proceeding.
A reasonable taxi fare from Kuching city to the airport is about RM26. Taxis can also be hired by hourly basis upon request and is normally charged at a rate of RM40 per hour.
